do angels exists?

i have recently had some really interesting conversations regarding angels and whether or not they really exists. are they mystical beings that only exist in heaven, are they part of our current lives or are they simply fairly tales? i'd love to know your thoughts on angels.

how much do you really pray?

i was talking with a friend this weekend and we got on the subject of praying about important decisions. it got me thinking about how little (actual time wise) i pray. generally i throw up quickie prayers before a big weekend or meeting, but hardly spend any numerical time listening. So, this month i'm going to grab my stop watch and track how much time I spend praying. what about you? how much do you really pray? you can comment anonymously, so you don't get busted.

Do you twitter?

a few months ago, i was at a media conference in nashville, when i heard about this new technology called twitter. wikipedia defines Twitter as a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates or "tweets". I remember thinking there is no way this will ever take off, but i have begun to see more and more of it popping up. if you use twitter, i'd love to know how you use it? let me know?

what do fathers need to know?

ok. ok. my wife says i need to talk about something of worth before she'll tell her friends about my re-blog. so here goes...i am doing some research on "what every new or potential father should know about being a dad". i'd love to get some 360 perspective from you people out there. really, what does every guy need to know that most books or oprah won't tell you? please comment and share your thoughts.

Linoleum is the Devil

My wife and I are currently having tile installed in our home.  What a blessing…you would think!  Most of our house was carpet, except for an area in the kitchen and dinning room.  These areas were covered with laminate flooring as a wedding present from my friends at church.  The laminate in the kitchen, I soon remembered, was laid down over existing linoleum.  (Thanks Skip) Whoever invented linoleum and the NASA strength adhesive that bond it to the earth should be flogged!  I have spent the past two nights scrapping, pulling and praying that God would miraculously remove this thorn from my side, all to no avail.  But finally, tonight the heavens parted and I found the right mix.  Boiling water and a one-inch scraper have become my hope and present joy.  By tomorrow I will hopefully have this linoleum nightmare complete and we can begin our lives in the 21^st century. Oh…until I begin our master bath.  Ughhhh!
